Welcome to the second annual Pool O' Death!
I have taken the best rules from some twelve different "Death Pool" web sites and come up with something I think will be fun and entertaining for everyone who wants in.  The basic system is this -  You will choose twenty "Personalities" who you think will pass away in 2002.

POINT SYSTEM
Age

Under 20yrs 10pts
21-30 yrs. 8 pts.
31-40 yrs. 6 pts.
41-50 yrs. 4 pts.
51-60 yrs. 2 pts.
Over 61 yrs. 1pt.

The player with the highest point total will be declared the winner.

GENERAL RULES

As with most pools, your picks must be currently alive and healthy.People on their death beds, people with terminal diseases, death row inmates and unknown persons may not be picked.

Another rule a lot of the web sites had was that you can not be responsible for any of the deaths.  (What kinds of freaks are out there?) Anyway, we’ll keep this rule just to be safe.

The "WAKE"
We will meet the immediate Monday night following any death.  Each "Wake" will take place at "Maloney’s On Campus" in Westwood.  Since our game is a celebration of life: if you miss two wakes in a row you will placed on the death list yourself (i.e. out of the game). Wakes will not occur that often so don’t sweat this rule.

Addendum: 7/3/1

From the time of your person's demise, you have one month(four Mondays) to plan a Eulogy and Wake at Maloney's. No wake... no points. As a bonus at the end of our "season" the best Wake will receive an extra 1/2 point.

THE SNL Round.
Each team will choose one Saturday Night Live cast member.  This will be a tie break/double point person.  This can be any past or present "CAST MEMBER."

The Maloney's Wall Round.
Each Team will have one person that can be found on the wall at Maloney's

Addendum: 3/30/02

The first team to experience a loss will recieve double points for that loss. If two or more teams have a loss on the same day, all teams will be granted double points.
